  • City Engineer E.B. Mohun to survey and make a contour map of the City between Burrard Street and Campbell Avenue and north of False Creek at a cost of $150
  • A special committee met with manager H. Abbott of the CPR; the CPR required a tract of land extending east as far as Carrall Street “to give sufficient length for switches” and desired that the CPR lands north of False Creek would be exempt from city taxation.  The committee replied that that the CPR then “could have no great objection” to its bridge across False Creek having a draw or swing to permit boats to get through
  • The Fire, Water and Light committee recommended the purchase of Fire Truck Figure 501 no 2 at a cost of $1,150
  • A lamp lighter was hired at a salary of $35 per month

The transcription of this Vancouver City Council Meeting was made in August of 2015 by guest transcriber Pauline White and sponsored by the generosity of Darrin Pezer of Proactive Building Maintenance.
