  • Thos. Quann asked Council for “relief” (welfare benefits) for Neil Nicholson and D. McLeod.
  • The Board of Health receives two accounts to be paid from “George, an Indian”, one for $6.00 for wood, another for $15.00 ( no details)
  • A 19th century public-private partnership initiative: “The Moodyville Saw Mill Company having offered to plank that portion of Cambie Street North of Water Street, on the condition that the City would grub and ditch the same, we would recommend that tenders be called for and the work proceeded with at once.”
