  • As the Chief of Police reported that George Morley gave the information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the murderers of Henry T. Sunbury, Council recommended that the $200.00 reward be paid to him.
  • Mr Wetzler suggested that the nozzles of fire hoses should be furnished with a cut-off, so that when firemen entered a building the water need not be turned on until the actual location of the fire was ascertained. (!)
  • The tender of William Murphy to supply police uniforms at $35.00 per suit was accepted.
  • Council decided to proclaim Saturday September 6th ‘Labor Day’.
